This Site is operated by three legally independent entities operating under the Dataslab brand (together, "Dataslab," "we," "us"). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how to control them. 

1. What are cookies and similar technologies? 

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website, used to operate the Site and understand its usage. We also use similar technologies, such as web beacons (also called pixel tags or tracking pixels) and software development kits (SDKs), which work alongside or instead of cookies to recognise your device, measure whether content (including marketing emails) was opened or viewed, and support the purposes described in this Policy. References to “cookies” in this Policy include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.

3. Web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies 

In addition to cookies, we and some of our service providers use web beacons (also called pixel tags or tracking pixels), embedded in web pages and in marketing emails, to measure whether a page was viewed or an email was opened, and to support the analytics and marketing purposes described in this Policy. Unlike cookies, web beacons do not store information on your device - they work by generating a small, anonymous request when content loads. Where a web beacon is used for marketing purposes, it is treated the same as a Marketing cookie under Section 4 (Legal basis), and you can opt out by adjusting your Cookie Settings or, for marketing emails, by unsubscribing.

Necessary/Security cookies: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; § 25(2) Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz (TDDDG), Germany. 

Analytics cookies: set only with prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TDDDG; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). This also satisfies the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" for Ukrainian users. 

Marketing cookies and web beacons: set only with your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TDDDG; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). 

5. Managing your consent 

Accept, reject, or customise categories anytime via Cookie Settings. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, and you may withdraw consent at any time. We record the date, scope, and Cookie Policy version in effect when you give or refuse consent, to demonstrate your choice in accordance with Art. 7(1) GDPR. 

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honour it automatically as described in Cookie Settings. 

6. Browser and device controls 

In addition to Cookie Settings (Section 5), most browsers - including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge - let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies through their own privacy settings. 

On mobile devices, you can limit ad tracking through your device settings (for example, App Tracking Transparency on iOS, or Ads settings on Android). 

You can also opt out of some third-party advertising cookies directly through the relevant provider, such as Google Ads Settings or Meta’s ad preferences. 

Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser or on your device may affect how the Site functions. These browser and device controls are separate from, and do not replace, the consent choices described in Section 5. 

7. Third-party providers and international transfers 

Where providers (e.g., Google, Meta, LinkedIn) transfer data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses as an appropriate safeguard. 

8. Changes to this Policy 

We may revise this Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision.
