Candidate Privacy Notice

This notice applies if you submit a candidate or job application form on this Site. It supplements our Privacy Policy and provides additional information required under Art. 13/14 GDPR for recruitment-related processing. 

 

1. Eligibility 

This form is intended for applicants aged 18 or older. Please do not submit an application if you are under 18.

Dataslab considers all applications on the basis of qualifications, skills, and experience, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law, including the German General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG) and equivalent Austrian and Ukrainian legislation. 

 

2. Who is responsible for your data 

Your data is processed by the entities described in our Privacy Policy, Section 1: Dataslab GmbH (Germany), and Dataslab GmbH (Austria), Dataslab LLC (Ukraine).

3. What we collect

●        Area of interest, experience level

●        Your CV and any information it contains 

●        Where you proceed in the process: interview notes, assessment results, video interview and/or screen recordings

●        Any further information you choose to share

 

 Providing your CV and the required fields is necessary to be considered for the role or talent pool; without this information, we cannot process your application. 

 Please avoid including special categories of data (e.g., health, religion, trade union membership) unless strictly necessary for the role. Where you do, we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).

5. Automated decision-making 

We do not currently use AI or other automated systems to screen, score, or rank candidates, and no decision affecting you is currently made by automated means alone. 

 

6. Recipients of your data 

Between the entities listed in Section 1, for shared recruitment purposes, and processors acting on our instructions - see Privacy Policy, Section 4. We do not share candidate data with external recruiters, clients, or any other party. 

 

7. Retention period 

Applications for a specific role: up to six (6) months after the recruitment process ends, unless a longer retention period is required to defend against legal claims or to comply with mandatory local retention laws. 

Talent pool entries (with your separate consent): up to three years from the date of consent, or until you withdraw consent, whichever is earlier. 

You may request earlier deletion at any time. 

 

8. Your rights 

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, withdrawal of consent (including for recordings) at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (see Privacy Policy, Section 8). 

We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. 

Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, due to its repetitive character), we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on it, as permitted under Art. 12(5) GDPR.
