1. Who is responsible for your data
This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed when you visit this website (the "Site") or submit information through it. The Site is operated by three legally independent entities operating under the Dataslab brand, which act as joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR for personal data collected through the Site:

Essence of the joint-controller arrangement (Art. 26(2) GDPR): each entity listed above may access and use personal data collected through the Site for shared business and recruitment purposes. Inquiries and data subject requests are coordinated through the contact point below. In accordance with Art. 26(3) GDPR, you may exercise your rights against any of the three entities, irrespective of the internal arrangement between them.
EU representative for Dataslab LLC (Art. 27 GDPR): Dataslab GmbH, Germany, has been designated as the EU representative of Dataslab LLC for personal data processed through this Site. You may contact the representative directly or via the shared privacy contact below.

Where you take part in a recruitment process, we may also process data from technical assessments, video interviews or screen recordings. Retention, automated tools, and your rights as a candidate are addressed in our Candidate Privacy Notice, provided at the point of application.
2a. Consequences of not providing your data
Providing data via the contact form is voluntary, but without it, we cannot respond to your inquiry. Providing your CV and the requested fields via the candidate form is necessary for us to consider your application; without this information, we cannot process it.
2b. Minors
This Site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@dataslab.eu so that we can delete it.

Processing of personal data of users in Ukraine is additionally carried out in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection".
4. Recipients of your data
Between the Dataslab entities listed in Section 1, for the purposes described above, and the following service providers acting on our instructions: infrastructure and cloud hosting, CRM, and communication tools, such as Microsoft, Google, and Uspacy. All such transfers are bound by data processing agreements in compliance with applicable law.
Where you consent to Marketing cookies (see Cookie Policy), data is also shared with Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn Ads. These providers act as independent controllers of the data they receive through their respective advertising tools and process it under their own privacy policies, in addition to the purposes described here.
We may also disclose personal data where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from a public or judicial authority, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dataslab, our users, or others.
We do not sell personal data and do not disclose it to external recruiters, clients, or any party outside the entities listed in Section 1.
5. International data transfers
Dataslab LLC, one of the entities listed in Section 1, is established outside the EU/EEA. The European Commission has not adopted an adequacy decision for Ukraine under Art. 45 GDPR. Transfers of personal data between the EU-established entities listed in Section 1 and Dataslab Ukraine LLC are therefore carried out on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
Separately, certain processors (Microsoft, Google, Meta, LinkedIn) may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. For these transfers, we rely on the relevant provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses as an appropriate safeguard.
6. Retention periods
Contact form inquiries: 12 months from the date of our last communication with you, unless a longer period is required to fulfil a legal obligation.

7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access your data;
- request rectification or erasure;
- restrict or object to processing;
- request data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Before fulfilling a request, we may ask you to verify your identity (for example, by confirming the email address used in your original submission). We aim to respond to verified requests within one month, as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR.
Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, due to its repetitive character), we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on it, as permitted under Art. 12(5) GDPR.
